Emersya provided an online 3D visualization experience for the Digital Material Show!

At the virtual event, visitors had access to the 3D Playground where they could visualize a wide range of materials from different suppliers by applying them on a product in 3D.

Visitors could choose from a number of demo products (shoes, bags, apparel...) to load online in an Emersya 3D viewer. They could click on different parts of the product and then select and preview different fabrics, colors and finishes made available in the online digital material library.

Visualizing a material in 3D on a sample product offers designers a more immersive way of sourcing fabrics for their new collections. The ability to instantly preview thousands of digital samples online, enables designers to narrow down their choice and reduce the number of physical samples they order for each collection.

Designers that have already started to use 3D technology to design their garments would be able to request the digital material files to virtually try out the fabrics on their own 3D designs.

This type of Interactive 3D sourcing experience could be embedded in any website, marketplace or online digital material library to provide a more sustainable, cost-effective and efficient alternative to distributing thousands of physical samples every year.
